Silver Dollar Fair

 Silver Dollar Fairgrounds

Year-Round Activities

CHICO, CA

Hope you had a great time at the fair this year!

Since 1950 the Silver Dollar Fair has been growing strong!  Did you know that the fair got its name because of a publicity campaign in 1950?  "Old Hutch" Hutchison ordered 50,000 silver dollars from the U.S. mint to use for the fair's business transactions that year.  The silver dollars started showing up all over town and Northern California.

You can find out more about the fair's history at the Silver Dollar Fair's official web site.  Also, you can discover all the other activities that go on at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds year-round.  Take a look at their website.
